The season begins: ‘Imptish, with new owners Barney Smith and Graham Tullett competed in race 1 of the Warsash Sping Series on Sunday. Launched just a few days ago after a three month winter refit, her owners were very happy to be out sailing rather than painting – even if they couldn’t quite remember where all the bits went! Some sage advice led to a quick quick rig tune on the way to the start as the wind dropped and the sun came out.
Competing in IRC 4, Imptish acquited herself well, finishing first on the water and first on handicap, winning a bottle of champagne for her proud owners! Barney and Graham would love to see some more Impalas out for Race 2 next weekend.’
