A
ferocious forecast put paid to any chance of racing in the David Thomas regatta at the weekend, but the 5 Impalas were well represented at the dinner at the Royal Southern YC, where Peter Poland gave a great talk on David Thomas’ life and designs. Crews from 3 of the Impalas entered went dinghy racing instead, before enjoying the evening’s entertainments – which may have resulted in a few sore heads this morning.
Next weekend’s forecast is looking better: just as well, as there are 5 Impalas entered in Class 6 of the JOG Cowes-Yarmouth and Yarmouth- Cowes races. See you on the start line!
