Imptish, Two Frank and Trudi raced on Sunday on day three of the Garmin Hamble Winter series. All week the forecast had not looked encouraging, and the weather didn’t improve on race day with racing run in a gusty and shifty 15 to 25 kn with occasional torrential rain making life very hard work for the competitors.
Trudi and Two Frank kept the pressure up on the other boats in IRC four, both recording six point totals over the two races. Imptish, sailing short handed, struggled for pace upwind but managed to keep the keel under the rig all day, unlike many other competitors!
Next weekend five Impalas should be out on both days competing in the Hamble One Design championships. It’s not too late to come and join them!
